　　Mary Queen of Scots spends her childhood in France and is meant to become also Queen of France. However, her ailing husband dies and the young widow returns alone to Scotland, a country devastated by war. 本故事讲述的是，苗家小伙项洛是苗族山寨花杆王的传人。因童年时亲眼看到父亲因醉酒爬花杆王丢掉性命。在内心对爬花杆这项苗族传统运动产生畏惧。并同时在心里立下志向：通过学习改变自己的命运之后他考入大学，学成后回到自己的家乡。想利用自己在大学所学的知识与女友古小麦带领乡亲们致富。
　　在带领乡亲们致富的过程中，项洛面对视爬花杆王以及夺得花杆王比赛冠军为头等大事的乡亲们时心中产生困惑。在经历与当地乡亲们思想上的磨合后，项洛与乡亲们都能以正确的心态面对生产以及爬花杆这项名族传统运动。最终，决定参加乡里组织的花杆比赛，并且在自己的努力下克服自己的心理障碍。带领本村队伍夺得了花杆王比赛的冠军，也成为了本次比赛的花杆王

　　劳拉•艾什（丽贝卡•罗梅恩 饰）与同党瑞西、威克斯在一个电影首映式上，出尽法宝要偷取一条佩戴在某位明星身上，价值千万的钻石项链。劳拉在神不知鬼不觉之间，把仿品成功与真品掉包。同党打算把女明星杀掉，劳拉出手阻止。两人较量时，劳拉把同党一同杀死了。
