　　正当网络开始风行的大学校园里，外型并不出众的痞子蔡（陈小春饰）对感情认真保守，但他在网络上又表现出热情自信的另一面，能言善道。好友阿泰（张震饰）在不断追逐异性中获得乐趣，颇有心得。
　　后来痞子蔡在网上邂逅了代号为“轻舞飞扬”的女孩（马千珊饰），之前他从不敢奢望真爱会降临在自己身上。及时行乐的阿泰提醒他网络是虛幻的，劝他不要动情。身陷矛盾的痞子蔡还是选择了与“轻舞飞扬”相见，彼此倍感知心，然而世事难料……

　　本片与描写悠闲日常的短篇故事不同，是为了剧场电影化而由原作者中村光所描写的原作小故事。广阔宇宙中为数众多的一颗璀璨闪耀的生命之星——地球，平安度过世纪末的神之子耶稣和开悟佛的佛陀，一边感受着日本的四季变化，一边在下界享受着秘密的休假。两人住在东京立川没有浴室的6张榻榻米的一间公寓，分享冰淇淋，在附近的商店街享受抽奖，结成搞笑组合。某天，来自天界的使者出现在过着悠闲日常生活的两人身边，传达了禁断的提议。不久，神、佛、天使、恶魔混杂在一起，与意想不到的地球灭亡危机联系在一起！?

　　从来没有一个小人物，像马建国一样，是跟着共和国一起成长起来的。这部电影极为接地气，好玩、诙谐、有趣，还会让你落泪，讲述北京的故事。马建国是49年10月1号出生。他家世代做灯笼，是地地道道的手艺人。当时，他并不喜欢这门手艺，总想着其他伟大的理想。他像很多20、30岁的人，经历过年轻人的打架、与父母产生矛盾，暗恋一个善良女子，一门心思考大学。经过了种种磨难之后，马建国最终喜欢上了老灯笼这门手艺。马建国代表老一辈，正直刚强，坚守着手工灯笼的传统手艺，也秉持着传统文化的高尚品格。他的孙子马五六作为年轻一代，从排斥不理解到渐渐领悟认可，实现了人生中重要的一次蜕变。祖孙俩的关系也越发融洽深入。

　　本片的主角艾尔伍德是个中年男人，同时也是个酒鬼。然而他常常臆想出来他有个好朋友——一只六英尺高的兔子。艾尔伍德向他的姐姐和侄女介绍这只名叫哈维的兔子。大家都认为他的神经有问题。他的姐姐忍无可忍，想把他送进疯人院。
