　　该剧讲述在父母离婚诉讼中的时候，突然妈妈被害，这时全家人都成为了杀人嫌疑犯而展开的悬疑惊悚爱情喜剧。

　　此剧讲述描述一对互看不顺眼的40岁同龄夫妻在如同战争般的生活中，突然重新回到20岁让他们开始重新燃起爱的火花，开始过起当年没有经历过的青春生活的故事。

　　上海滩上龙争虎斗，仇杀漫天。大学生许文强（周润发 饰）经历过失败的学生运动后，只身来到上海，他与小贩丁力（吕良伟 饰）成为至交，并在同学方艳云的帮助下，混入黑帮，并凭借自己的勇谋成为帮派头目。上海法租界大亨冯敬尧看中许文强的才干，想招其至门下，被文强婉言谢绝。许文强偶然救了冯敬尧之女冯程程（赵雅芝 饰），赢得其爱慕。在一次帮派纠纷中，许文强与丁力走投无路，投靠了冯敬尧。程程对文强紧追不舍，终于打动了他，两人计划结婚。此时，许文强发现了冯敬尧勾结日本人卖国，几经思索，他选择了背叛冯敬尧杀死日本人。为了躲避冯敬尧的追杀，许文强逃到香港，遇上成叔一家，决心过平静日子。程程追到香港，引来了冯敬尧的爪牙，成叔一家被害。许文强返回上海，开始复仇计划。程程求文强离开和她一起远走高飞，但被拒绝，失望的她嫁给一片痴心的丁力。许文强在丁力的帮助下成功复仇后，他决心去找远走法国的程程，却葬身在日本人的枪林弹雨之中。

They also lead him to a shadowy figure caught up in a conspiracy that might change the course of the War - for the better. That man, very much changed by his own shattering experiences, is Klaus Hoffmann (Rick Okon). These two historically based strands come together in an unexpected, thrilling finale.

　　本剧记录了河南林州“红旗渠”的后代们在改革开放大潮的冲击下走出太行、走出大山，“一把瓦刀闯天下”，进入城市从事建筑、二次创业的故事。通过对金桂生、于小莲、大群二群兄弟、宁霄雅、金瓦刀、兔子、老麻雀、老本等林州新老两代人的人生经历和心路历程的独特开掘和刻画，以全新的视角开掘和诠释了在新的时代背景下，“红旗渠精神”新的时代内涵。通过对红旗渠两代人人物命运和观念的冲突，揭示了“红旗渠人”新旧观念的矛盾和碰撞，“红旗渠”的后代们经过打拚由穷人变成了有钱人、由打工仔变成了小老板、大老板、由“乡巴佬”变成了“城里人”，展示了由农业文明进入城市文明的艰难嬗变过程。这个过程充满了艰辛和挑战，也充满失落和痛苦，但人类社会就是一步步从这种失落和痛苦中走出浑沌和愚昧，走向富足和文明。
