　　巴克·佛格森（乔许·布洛林饰）是知名的白尾鹿猎人。他在他的狩猎节目中安排了一集特别节目，带著与他日益疏离的儿子杰登（蒙塔纳·乔登饰）来一场週末联繫父子感情之旅，一路随行的还有深获巴克信任、但衰运连连的摄影师友人唐恩（丹尼·麦布莱饰）。巴克万事具备，却不知道这场在荒郊野外的父子重拾感情之旅，精彩刺激的程度将远超出他的想像。
