以傻鹏一家为中心描绘的家庭喜剧漫画。此前本作曾4度被改编为电视动画，分别是1971年播出的全40话《天才傻鹏》，1975年开始播出的全103话《元祖天才傻鹏》，1990年开始播出的全46话《平成天才傻鹏》，以及1999年开始播出的《ReReRe的天才傻鹏》。
作为动画3期的先行，以《摇曳百合：暑假时光+》为题的新作动画将分别于2015年8月和9月各放送1话，内容则是2014年11月上映的《摇曳百合：暑假时光》的后续
