　　江玫的酒店冷冷清清，一个食客都没有，这时一个老外――美国失业青年杰克被“口吕品”的店名所吸引进入酒店，被周丽误当成“大款”狠“宰”一刀，杰克无钱结帐，自愿留在店中打工“以身抵债”，有老外端盘子的“口吕品”顿时食客盈门，大“火”起来，正在江玫、周丽高兴时，刘星派公关经理凌小姐“挖”走了杰克，但杰克狠狠地敲了刘星一竹杠，回到了“口吕品”，原来他已经爱上了美丽聪颖的江玫，并和江玫、周丽一起开始了“出租老外”的业务，不甘心的刘星为他们设置了一道道的障碍，反而促成了“出租老外”的业务和杰克与江玫的情感发展。

　　故事发生在1941年，日本帝国主义悍然发动侵略战争的第四个年头，同时也是中国老百姓最为苦难的年份。穷凶极恶的日寇对河北冀中根据地发动疯狂扫荡，抗日势力面临着覆灭的危机。在此期间，一支日本冲锋队假扮成八路军四处活动，追踪八路军主力，更成为杀伤力巨大的威胁之一。劣迹多多却有着一腔热血和胆识的敌工部派遣战斗英雄罗金宝（张子健 饰）在历次战斗中打下名气，却也因触犯军规屡遭指摘和处罚。
