　　Run-D.M.C.'s Rev Run brings us along for a hip-hop reimagining of The Nutcracker ballet set in New York City. It's the night of the annual New Year's Eve block party and Maria-Clara's (Caché Melvin) mom and pop (Allison Holker Boss and Stephen "tWitch' Boss) aren't getting along... and it's bringing her down. Maria-Clara embarks on a holiday adventure to bring her parents back together, finding help along the way from the magical toymaker, Drosselmeyer (Comfort Fedoke), and the Nutcracker (Du-Shant "Fik-shun" Stegall) whom she brings to life. Maria-Clara's journey takes her from the streets of New York to fantasy worlds where she battles with mice and toy soldiers (Viktor White, BDash, Kevin "Konkrete" Davis"), and back in time to the Land of Sweets in order to find the key to unlock her holiday wish. Will it be enough to rekindle her parents' lost love before the clock strikes midnight? 　　特纳（德克斯特·戈登 Dexter Gordon 饰）曾经是一位非常有名的萨克斯管演奏家，如今，垂垂老矣的他藏身于纽约高级夜总会中，为前来娱乐的客人们演奏。受不了被冷落的日子，特纳最终离开了夜总会，前往巴黎，加入了当第一个黑人音乐家团体之中，这个团体在经历了几场非常成功的演出后很快就名声大噪。
　　弗朗西斯（弗朗索瓦·克鲁塞 François Cluzet 饰）是一个贫穷的广告设计师，他深深被特纳的演奏所吸引，一次偶然中，两人相识了。弗朗西斯震惊的发现，生活里的特纳几乎没有任何的自理能力，而且总是被坏女人骗，于是，弗朗西斯为特纳租了一间小公寓，在那里照顾他的生活起居。

　　在日本广岛县尾道市海边唯一的一家电影院迎来了闭馆，在风雨交加的闭馆夜，通宵上映着日本战争电影特辑，有三位来看电影的青年被突然袭击影院的闪电所包围，时空穿越进入了电影里的世界。江户时代、幕末乱世、戊辰战争、太平洋战争……三人逐渐发现自己正在游览银幕中的战争电影的世界，随着战争历史的变迁，电影技术也从黑白无声发展到有声电影和彩色电影。舞台转到了原子弹爆炸前夜的广岛，三位青年能否救下他们遇到的移动剧团，改变命运？

　　劉別謙初嚐美高梅大製作的派頭，一切筆法更神采飛揚。開敞的場景、空前的排場讓人物裏裏外外恣意張開：寡婦的心更顯孤獨，男女的愛更加沒處安放。坐擁小國大部分財富的寡婦忽然要搬到巴黎重新尋找生活色彩，國王唯恐國祚不保來一招美男計，派出風流種子色誘寡婦。本來一個用情一個求性，幾番邂逅與折騰，改寫了男男女女的基本需要。歌與舞沒有賣弄甜膩，反而放在愛情的沉重中換來了歌頌。歌與影無間交流，劉別謙輕歌劇巔峰之作，亦成了荷里活極有代表性的一章。司花利亞與珍娜．麥當奴最後一次合作，後者散發從未有過的成熟韻味。堪稱最性感的音樂劇。

Osé but not blasé, this elegant adaptation of Franz Lehar's operetta out-classed von Stroheim's silent in opulence, culminating in the grandest of grand balls.
