　　宋朝瓦舍兴盛，从小耳濡目染的大小姐周遥最喜素舞，可惜周家突遭变故，周遥被卷入一起离奇案件并成为主要嫌疑人。昔日大小姐的情感之路将何去何从，她又将如何拯救受困女性，找寻幕后之人……

　　镇守在长沙的九大家族人称“老九门”，名号之响无人不知无人不晓。其中，九门之首张大佛爷张启山（陈伟霆 饰）奉命调查鬼车和神秘矿山之谜，带着搭档齐铁嘴（应昊茗 饰），两人向出生于考古之家的戏曲名伶二月红（张艺兴 饰）求助，无奈二月红为了照顾病重的妻子丫头（袁冰妍 饰），早已经洗手不干。
　　为了引二月红再度出山，张启山和齐铁嘴北上远赴新月饭店，为丫头求药。之后，张启山结识了新月饭店的大小姐尹新月（赵丽颖 饰），两人之间渐渐产生了情意。尽管丫头最终还是不治身亡，但二月红意外发现矿山之谜和自己的家族前辈之间有着牵扯不清的关系，同时亦隐藏了一个日本方面谋划的惊天阴谋。

　　宝言（陈慧珊 饰）为了继承父亲的遗志，为社会捍卫正义，努力成为一名法医。宝言的姐姐宝意（陈美琪 饰）是一个著名作家，专门为人解答爱情问题，但自己的感情生活却一塌糊涂，与女儿津津（钟丽琪 饰）的关系也相当恶劣。
　　宝言与警员家原（林宝怡 饰）有工作上的合作，但对双方的好感不大。此时津津认识了同在法医科工作的家乔（鲁文杰 饰），原来他是家原的弟弟。津津得知家乔暗恋女警员小棠（李珊珊 饰）的时候想帮他追求小棠，原来小棠已经心有所属。
　　家乔被误以为杀害了前女友，津津深知家乔的无辜，便请求阿姨宝言出手相助。家原也为了帮弟弟洗脱罪名，与宝言一起共同调查案件。随着工作上的多次接触，家原与宝言也展开了恋情……
