　　公元712年，唐睿宗改元延和，大唐依旧繁盛寰宇，但繁华之下依然危机四伏、山雨欲来。一股股势力借机点点欲动，更引起民间诡案频发，大理寺少卿卢凌风（杨旭文 饰）和乾陵丞苏无名（杨志刚 饰）又将遇到怎样的志怪谜局？西行之路，境遇难测。

　　一次意外，潮牌工作室负责人凌煕误将生活在森林的莫格利带回城市，并因工作室的营销需求不得不留下莫格利。一个森林小子和一个城市女孩的相处生活就此开始，两人经历了来自家庭、事业、社会等各方面的考验，从互看不顺眼到后来渐渐建立起了独一无二的亲密关系。莫格利在凌煕身上学到了现代生活技能与做人道理，而凌煕在莫格利身上学到了极简主义环保理念，以及一些动物的处事哲学。两人小到不用一次性筷子，垃圾分类，大到阻止吃野味，阻止滥伐森林树木。美好的感情在滋生，默契的两人携手面对，不仅共同解决了危机，还完成了互相拯救与成长。

　　表面上，雪莉（珍妮弗·加纳 Jennifer Garner 饰）是一名普通的大学研究生，实际上，她已为名为SD6的秘密情报组织工作多年。在同男友结婚之际，雪莉决定向其公开自己的真实身份，没想到男友却因此被组织的安全人员暗杀。愤怒中，雪莉选择了“罢工”，之后亦遭到了抹杀。

　　大加户明叶（清野菜名 饰）是一名在知名设计公司上班的设计师，工作上非常努力的她深受上司和客户的信赖。和职场上的顺风顺水比起来，明叶的感情生活就显得略微有些苍白无可怜了，明叶遇到的所有的恋爱对象几乎都是渣男，每一段恋情都以失败告终。如今，明叶对结婚恋爱这件事情早已经佛系了。
　　某日，在一场酒会上，明叶邂逅了名叫百濑柊（坂口健太郎 饰）的男子。百濑是广告代理公司的职员，让明叶没有想到的是，两人刚刚相识，百濑竟然就向自己求婚了。原来，百濑并不是对明叶一见钟情，只是为了完成结婚这项任务而已，虽然对百濑的行为感到非常的不耻，但迫于现实的压力，明叶同意了百濑的求婚。

　　Season five of Murdoch Mysteries opens in unfamiliar territory, as Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) leaves Toronto to try his luck while the Klondike Gold Rush in the Yukon winds down. Suspended for interfering in an investigation, on the run for surreptitiously freeing a murderer to make amends, and nursing a broken heart after Dr. Ogden's marriage to another man, he tries to escape his past, and his passion for detective work.
