Maria-Clara's journey takes her from the streets of New York to fantasy worlds where she battles with mice and toy soldiers (Viktor White, BDash, Kevin "Konkrete" Davis"), and back in time to the Land of Sweets in order to find the key to unlock her holiday wish. Will it be enough to rekindle her parents' lost love before the clock strikes midnight? 　　每年春夏，它们选择亚洲东北部海域的孤岛繁育下一代。
　　繁育期间，黑尾鸥有着和人类一夫一妻制相似的家庭结构。每对黑尾鸥一般产3枚卵，但小黑尾鸥的成活率只有30％左右。
　　秋天到来，所有的黑尾鸥都会离开春夏繁育生息的孤岛。它们分成无数小的群落，有的会飞到南方去，有的就在北部沿海地带流浪。直到第二年春天，重回孤岛。

　　梁秀琴 17 岁时，随⽗亲梁铁林到齐齐哈尔市的扎龙⾃然保护区做临时⼯，负责养鹤、驯鹤⼯作。1983 年，她在那⾥负责饲养雏鹤，雏鹤成活率达到 100%。因此，扎龙保护区的孵鹤、养鹤、驯鹤技术开始蜚声中外。1985 年，梁秀琴⾃费到东北林业⼤学野⽣动物系进修，因交不出学费，⽣活⼜难以为继， 她曾背着⽼师和同学，数次献⾎换来⼀些钱来维持学业。 梁秀琴结业后去盐城⾃然保护区⼯作，当时的鹤场，最好的建筑物就是⼀个废弃的哨所，上下两层，每层不⾜ 6 平⽅⽶。在这⾥，她认识了⼀起并肩⼯作的同志:王君彦、段⽅和夏兰，梁秀琴也和王君彦有了⼀些朦胧的感情。 还没等他们的感情有些进展，梁秀琴就因为救⼀只受伤的鹤永远地离开了这 个世界——那时，梁秀琴才 23 岁。
