本片為張瑛導演，王福齡配樂，由俠女秦萍及宗華主演。故事描述，飛龍鏢局李飛龍（黃宗迅）在幪面採花賊臂上刻劍痕，以示懲戒；想不到賊實為其對門萬安鏢局王天彪（王俠），只以幪面，李並不知之；後李要保林太守的玉觀音鏢到洛陽，行前囑托王照顧自己的鏢局及妻兒，王得其所哉，先誘姦李之繼室，及殺飛龍鏢局眾徒，更伏兵襲擊李飛龍一行；李死裡逃生，請師姪趙英傑（宗華）往保護女兒燕娘（秦萍）……
The tragic love story between Guido, the owner of a marble quarry and Luisa, the humble daughter of one of his employees, ends up in her giving birth to a baby boy. Giulio's mother is against them: at first she takes her son abroad with an excuse and then has her grandson kidnapped making Luisa think the boy died in a fire.
Twenty years ago at the infamous Redwood Farm, the owner went mad and killed his family and himself. Shrouded in urban legend ever since, a stranger obsessed with the unsolved Redwood murders convinces a group of bereaved family members to venture into the wilderness in the hope of proving the existence of the notorious burlap bag-masked maniac. Their quest for truth sees a sinister turn of events, as the hunters become the hunted and a blood-soaked fight for survival ensues when they find that the sinister tales told of the axe-wielding psycho farmer are very real indeed.

An Italian western in the A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS mold with a better than average cast, which includes Bud Spencer in the debut of his heavy-handed character (later made famous in the TRINITY series) and the outstanding Japanese actor Tatsuya Nakadai, famous for his role in Akira Kurosawa's KAGEMUSHA. Written by horror-meister Dario Argento and presented here in the English-language version (which, considering it was filmed MOS with an international cast, is nearly as "original dialogue" as its Italian-language counterpart).
