　　Mary Queen of Scots spends her childhood in France and is meant to become also Queen of France. However, her ailing husband dies and the young widow returns alone to Scotland, a country devastated by war. Elizabeth has just become Queen of England, for Mary she is like a twin sister to whom she can open her heart. Mary weds again and gives birth to an heir to the thrown. Her second husband, Lord Darnley, proves to be a weakling. When Mary finds the love of her life, the Earl of Bothwell, she has Darnley murdered and marries Bothwell. Horrified by this deed and the blind passion that motivated it, both the nobles and the people of Scotland spurn her. To avert a bloody battle, Mary is compelled to give up her beloved Bothwell. In desperate straits, she turns to Elizabeth for help. In response, the Queen of England imprisons her. After 19 years spent in a golden cage, Mary finds release at last: Elizabeth sends her to the block.

　　巴喇特是一个普通的银行出纳员，一个平凡、正直和无辜的人，业余爱好是演出戏剧，他的人生愿望简单地就是从扮演猴神罕努曼升级为扮演拉姆神。巴喇特的妻子是一名小学教师，期望他有更好的职业生涯而不只是舞台上的成绩，但她易猜忌，怀疑巴喇特与年轻漂亮的阿米嗒关系亲密。平凡的人过着平凡的生活，但一件看似偶然的事打破了巴喇特一家的平凡生活。
　　巴喇特的麻烦看起来开始于一个警方披露他家风扇被盗的案子，经过很大的一番周折后，他发现自己家的风扇并没有被盗，而实际被盗的却是他们全家的生活和命运，风扇只是这一大出戏中的一个小道具而已。在这个过程中，影片向人们展现“贼”并不等同于小偷，在生活中他们更隐秘更让人难以注意到，但其实到处都是。
　　抛开具体形式和情节，巴喇特的经历是否可以发生在任何人身上，或者正在发生在每个人身上？有人或许有理由或许只是凭感觉地认为自己没有受害，但本片的警示应该让人们从贼的完全定义上去重新思考答案。

　　黄子华饰演的警察在一次抢劫案被车撞击导致半身不遂，同案中负责为歹徒开车的流氓李修贤则中枪变成植物人。黄子华不想象废人般过下半生，在智慧老人夺舍后变身的吴倩莲指导下，利用李修贤的躯体重生。不料李修贤原来是个可恶的人渣，在他家乡大屿山恶名远播。新的李修贤却聪明灵俐而有正义感，光 看他如何还债及重获三个老婆的芳心便趣味十足。知道内情的妹妹蔡少芬公开单恋哥哥，以及黄子华每次对李家的女人想入非非便要上厕所等成人趣味的安排也乐而不淫，颇令人有意外惊喜之感。
　　夺舍，在道教中指夺取别人的身体驱壳以求得生存。警官Tommy（黄子华饰）最喜欢哼的一句歌就是：“Tell Laura I love her。”，他的女友Laura也是警察，喜欢周华健，家里有一个华健的纸板人像。Tommy在和匪徒的交战中被车撞击导致下身瘫痪，大小便失禁。“夺舍”成功的吴倩莲原来是失意女子从楼上跳下而未死，她指点Tommy，使警官借南丫岛烂仔腾鸡（李修贤饰）的躯体存活下来。腾鸡原来是个非常令人讨厌的人，在他家乡大屿山恶名远播，现在变成了一个孝顺大方聪明伶俐而有正义感的好人。Tommy的灵魂帮腾鸡解决了好多家庭问题，可是Laura却对这个新的 Tommy失去了兴趣，智慧老人告诉他解决办法只有Walk out，即弃舍。而腾鸡原来参与一宗抢劫案的搭档怕他不牢靠，要将他除掉，经过追逐，车毁人亡，腾鸡命归西天，黄子华脱壳而出，变回女友的歌星偶像周华健。一年后，腾鸡成为了南丫岛的岛主，一个好人，而且还参加竞选。

　　前保龄球手洛伊（Woody Harrelson伍迪•哈里森 饰）早年风光无限，曾经在1979年拿过俄亥俄州保龄球比赛的冠军。但是他的荣耀急转直下，在一次重要比赛中，他被对手厄尼（Bill Murray 比尔•默瑞 饰）陷害，失去了宝贵的右手。在此后的十七年里，他只能戴着假手，做保龄球器材生意糊口。

　　This 1992 Japanese film tells the story of a scientist who sets out to create the new "super Adam and Eve", humans who cannot be controlled by their emotions. Of course, the end result it not exactly what the good doctor expects.

　　This modern tale of an attempt to build a creature is one of the best "horror" films ever made, even if its not a horror film but something else entirely. Certainly its on my short list of all time great films.
　　This film was introduced to me by someone who told me "I have this film that probably one of the best films you'll ever see. It will move you and touch you and make you think, but if I told you what it is and told you how its done you will think its the stupidest thing on the face of it and you won't watch it." Intrigued I asked what did he mean, and he said, "Well its a Frankenstein story, with a very goofy sort of edge, but which uses it to its advantage." My ears perked up, and I being a trusting soul took the tape and watched it. I was blown away.
　　The plot concerns a mad scientist attempting to make a new Adam and Eve in the wake of a suicidal plague that is ravaging the world. Locked up in his lab his experiments go differently then either he or we expect. Some of it is silly (The bolts in the neck, the wrestling moves...), all of it is touching and thought provoking.
　　I can not recommend this movie enough. If you are willing to take the film on its terms and allow it to tell its story then I urge you to seek this film out and see it. This is an undiscovered gem that will stay with you forever.

　　Also known as "The Last Frankenstein", this is an extraordinary, impeccably produced horror film. Director Takeshi Kawamura uses Mary Shelley's novel as a mere launching pad for an exploration of subjects as diverse and fascinating as the nature of love, desire, suicide, mass hypnosis, sex, alienation and jealousy.
　　And though the film is dense with subtext, it is also stunningly photographed and rich in atmosphere and detail. The performances are all amazing and Kawamura's sensitive handling of the strange, delicate relationships between the characters results in an emotionally charged, angst-ridden tragedy.
　　The scenes of the confused, troubled monster hurtling through a fog-shrouded forest at night are memorable and striking, as is a brilliant home movie-style montage of the film's more curious characters enjoying a precious afternoon at the beach. Kawamura creates resonating visual poetry of horror and sadness barely sighted since Todd Browning's classic "Freaks".
　　Intelligent, emotional, tragic and real, this is an absolute gem. 9/10
