Maria-Clara embarks on a holiday adventure to bring her parents back together, finding help along the way from the magical toymaker, Drosselmeyer (Comfort Fedoke), and the Nutcracker (Du-Shant "Fik-shun" Stegall) whom she brings to life. Maria-Clara's journey takes her from the streets of New York to fantasy worlds where she battles with mice and toy soldiers (Viktor White, BDash, Kevin "Konkrete" Davis"), and back in time to the Land of Sweets in order to find the key to unlock her holiday wish. Will it be enough to rekindle her parents' lost love before the clock strikes midnight? 　　《镖行天下前传》是CCTV-6频道的十部数字电影之一，也是数字电影《镖行天下》的系列剧集。提到《镖行天下前传》，不得不让人们想起多年前红极一时的《天下镖局》，它不但是数字电影《镖行天下》系列的第一部，也是开篇之作。姜大卫扮演的王兆兴形象可谓是深入人心，此次由吴奇隆来重新演绎年轻版的王兆兴，相信会给大家不同的视觉享受。而此片的女主角也均由新人担纲，难道《镖行天下前传》也想捧新人？制片方负责人解释，选演员时主要是考虑剧中角色是否与演员本人形象符合，而不会考虑其他无谓的因素，再加上两位女主角都有自己一定的影视剧作，并不能算新人。
