He and his partner, Detective Stella Bonasera, a workaholic and a jack-of-all-trades, share a passion for the job. They lead a team of experts amid the gritty and kinetic city that never sleeps. Their team includes Danny Messer, a Brooklyn-born investigator with rugged good looks, an unflappable spirit and a colorful family history, and Dr. Sheldon Hawkes, a reclusive coroner who walked away from a promising surgical career after the traumatic loss of two patients. Joining them is homicide Detective Don Flack, an edgy, hardcore investigator with a quick wit, impressive forensic insight and limited patience with potential suspects. Rounding out the team is Aiden Burn, a smart and sexy investigator whose chameleon-like behavior allows her to adapt to any situation at any time. These skilled investigators, who see New York City in a whole different light, follow the evidence as they piece together clues and eliminate doubt to ultimately crack their cases.

　　21世纪特种部队人员项少龙（古天乐 饰）决意要参加穿梭时空的研究，是为了要挽回自己的爱情。但由于时光机的数据出错，把少龙带到了战国时期。
　　当时的嬴政（林峰 饰）还没有登上帝位，更被囚禁于赵国。少龙为了能返回未来，便不惜一切帮助嬴政顺利登上帝位。由于少龙的机智过人与特殊身份，他的能力得到了众人的赏识，因此他也遭到了多方奸狡之人的暗算。
　　在腹背受敌的情况下，生性风流的少龙也纠缠上一段复杂的四角恋爱关系。到底少龙能否协助嬴政赢得天下呢？他会如何处理自己与隔世恋人的情缘呢？

　　这次故事的舞台发生在海关入境处。作为入境处总入境助理的方浚杰（郭晋安 饰）一直以来都安于现状，因为曾经和上司麦启铭（姜大伟 饰）发生过冲突，对升值也不再抱有希望。和在深圳相识的内地女子张思敏（姚嘉妮 饰）结婚，终于等来了申请成功，本以为就此可以一家团聚的浚杰，却因为大嫂对妻子的排挤，矛盾颇多。为家务事烦恼的浚杰接到了更大噩耗是，妻子居然多年前曾在香港犯案，这让正义感颇强的浚杰无法接受。
　　在妻子离开的过程中，浚杰的同期好友叶安琪（蒙嘉慧 饰）对他照顾有加，在这当中，浚杰同安琪的感情在滋长。而后，浚杰又认识了港口管制组入境主任欧顺风（邓健泓 饰），从误会到冰释前嫌，二人迅速结为好友。而浚杰也也迎来了其事业的转机……

　　罗英子（热依扎 饰）做梦也没想到，顺风顺水二十八年的她，竟然翻到了阴沟里。这天是丈夫刘铭的三十岁生日，自己的律师资格证又考到了手，本以为是个好日子，她精心准备了一桌饭菜，却在家中枯等了一夜，刘铭走了，丢弃了一切往日恩情，挽着她的闺蜜温莉出了国，还卷走了所有夫妻共同财产，只给罗英子留下了一屁股还不完的巨额债务。刘铭的背叛像一块重石，顷刻间将罗英子美好的生活砸得粉碎，她紧紧拽住唯一的救命稻草，刚刚到手的律师资格证，孤身进入良诚律所，成为一名新人律师，在阻碍重重的道路上勇敢前行。
