石金河、石银河两兄弟出生在偏远贫苦的山区石门掌。 由于家境贫寒，父亲石罗锅只好用抓阄来决定两兄弟的前程。哥哥石金河得以念完中学，并考取了大学；弟弟石银河却只能在家种田，与父亲共同肩负供养金河上学的重担。 转眼间，金河即将毕业，他努力地寻找工作，想在城市中闯出一片属于自己的天；而银河也不甘心一辈子在乡下，进城打工赚钱，在一个饲料厂当搬运工人。 乡下的父亲催促着大儿子回家相亲，金河拒绝回乡，他发誓要变成一个城市人，再不要遭人白眼、被人歧视。由于金河执意不回，石罗锅和媒人七姑合计来了个移花接木，让银河代替金河去相亲。没想到，老实的银河自己就戳穿了父亲和媒人设下的骗局，也正是由于他的坦诚，赢得了姑娘柳莺莺的芳心。 金河其实早已经有了心上人，是与他同班的温小寒。温小寒和金河同样面临留城和找工作的困难。由于现实的残酷，现实的温小寒接受了高干子弟，班长陈尔东的帮助，并决定嫁给他，进入豪门。这让金河难以接受。学校附近的小餐馆服务员——同是从乡下进城打工的高马丽却十分崇拜金河这个大学生，金河在小饭馆打工的期间处处照顾他，然而，金河对此段感情却不置可否。 金河好不容易在保险公司谋到一份推销保险的工作，却因业务毫无进展被公司辞退，屡屡受挫的他只好到饲料厂和弟弟一块卖苦力。饲料厂的老板侯发荣在一次偶然的机会中发现金河与其他打工的农民不同，便将金河提拔为经理助理。金河借机尽展才华，一方面给侯老板出谋划策，一方面又想办法给工人们争取合法的权益。公司上上下下都拿他当主心骨，弟弟银河也以他为荣。 然而，天有不测风云，突然爆发的禽流感使得饲料厂玉米堆积如山，面临倒闭的危险，侯发荣拖欠着员工工资，又躲避追债人，十分狼狈，只得仓惶出逃。 两兄弟不忍心看着玉米被白白浪费，他们坚信人们总有吃鸡的一天。于是，他们拿出自己微薄的积蓄给工人们发工钱，组织工人们将饲料上垛整理。皇天不负有心人，他们付出的努力收到了回报，禽流感过去了，人们又开始吃鸡，饲料大批短缺。玉米变成了金豆子，公司一举盈利几百万…… 赚到了钱的金河和银河还需要面对更残酷的市场竞争和心灵的考验。两兄弟齐心协力经历了风风雨雨，依然以一颗淳朴赤诚的心面对生活，面对爱情……

Crime and drug use are up, and corruption and graft are endemic, with civic institutions unable to counter any of it. And yet the culture of New Orleans somehow endures.

Des messages issu de conversation messenger et sms sont publié en stories sur le compte Facebook de la série.

A group of aliens has come to Earth to learn about its population, customs, etc. To avoid detection, they have taken on human form which gives them human emotions, physical needs etc. WITHOUT the understanding of what they mean or the inhibitions normally present in humans. Their leader takes the position of a college professor, their military expert as his sister, their intelligence expert, supposedly oldest of group takes form of his teenage son. The uninhibited reactions turn everyday events into unusual situations.
