　　上集：冷秋薇与李文俊相恋，两人同居育有一子国雄。俊母嫌贫爱富，逼俊娶富家小姐郭玉珍，薇无奈遗下亲子而去。不久，薇诞下俊女丽芳，因无力抚养送予富孀胡凤娟，自己则认作芳姨母，时加探望。芳渐长，嫌薇贫寒，常恶言相向。俊到澳门工作，薇碰巧到俊家当女佣，赫然发现雄是亲子，但恐与雄相认有碍俊事业前途，只好默默庇护爱子。珍恼雄挂念生母，欲以毒药加害，薇及时阻止，反遭嫁祸，系狱十年。薇出狱，到胡家欲与芳母女相认，却遭芳驱逐……
　　下集：冷秋薇晕倒街头，幸得李国雄救助。雄把薇安顿后，告别父亲文俊，到外国攻读法律。李丽芳拒与薇母女相认，遭养母痛斥，愤而离家到夜总会当歌女，终日与夏利信等损友为伍，薇屡劝不果。信等欲对芳施暴，薇为救芳与信纠缠，信失足堕崖身亡，其同党逼芳指证薇谋杀。雄学成归来，决替薇洗雪冤情。俊在法庭上乍见薇，喜出望外，立即偕雄与她相认。芳良知未泯，经众人规劝在庭上说出真相，还薇清白，一家团圆。

　　Stuart Gordon, considered a master of the horror genre thanks to classics like Re-Animator and Dagon, decides to do a different move in this strange trip to human morals.
　　
　　"King of the Ants" is about a regular guy, Sean Crawley(newcomer Chris McKenna), a man without any aspiration who just live in his apartment doing the necessary job to live to the next day. In one of his jobs he meets Duke(Gearge Wendt), who introduces Sean to his boss, Ray Matthews(played by Daniel Baldwin). Ray hires Sean as a spy, and orders him to follow Eric Gatlin(Roy Livingstone), an accountant who has been investigating Ray's company. Problems start when Ray, while drunk, orders Sean to kill Eric. And he does it. Things go wrong when Ray decides to make Sean disappear destroying his mind with violent punishment and humiliation.
　　
　　From the point where Sean kills Eric, we go in the same boat with him, as he goes through a downward spiral of human degradation, traveling from guilt, to confusion and finally to his rebirth, in a state where humanity, morals and values are not important anymore. Chris McKenna acting is very important because he manages to be likable even when he is part of gruesome acts, both as victim and/or criminal. He has that look of innocence that hides a dark side and he manages to carry the film.
　　
　　The support cast also includes Kari Wuhrer, as Eric's widow who also becomes a central part of Sean's trip to hell. She gives a fine performance, although it's obvious that Sean is the main character. He is the most developed of all and McKenna's performance is up to the challenge.
　　
　　The film has very disturbing images of violence, and while it may not be as graphic as "Kill Bill" for example, the strength of the violence is in the lack of humanity that the character manifest. He is more than an ant in this world. He is the king.
　　
　　Stuart Gordon has managed to create a film that, while maybe it's not one of his best efforts; it's very well done, has a VERY interesting story to tell, and manages to capture the attention every second of it.

　　福寿堂棺材铺的汪老太爷去世了，汪老爷忙着给自己父亲赶制棺材，天黑了棺材还没有做好，棺材铺这行的规矩是太阳下山必须收工，否则会招来不干净的东西，汪老爷决定为自己爹破例一次。
　　深夜，汪家大宅四处堆放着花圈和棺材，十分阴森诡异，大钟敲了12下，汪家大太太凝香哭闹着要寻死，汪家下人说，肯定是死去的老太爷召唤大太太，老太爷过世的时辰正好也是12点整。汪老爷认为是自己连夜赶制棺材，破了棺材行的规矩，才招来了煞气。
　　第二天深夜大家发现大太太自杀死了，她吊死在房间里，钟表正好指向12点。
　　接下来的日子里，依次当上汪家大太太的二太太月娥、三太太桂荣都离奇自杀，死亡的时间都是深夜12点，大家对子夜招魂的事深信不疑。可是四太太秀清因留过洋见多识广，根本不信子夜招魂之说，她说只有自己也当上汪家大太太，才能弄清楚事情的真相。
　　当深夜12点的钟声即将敲响，秀清在房中静静的等待着，这时一个人影从门外闪过，秀清跟了出去，趁着月光她看清楚了来人的脸……那么，这个人究竟是谁？几位太太到底是自杀还是他杀？

　　考试是学生们生活中非常重要的一部分，它不仅仅是判定学习成果的考验，同时也决定了学生们的喜怒哀乐。为了通过考试，凯尔（克里斯·埃文斯 Chris Evans 饰）和马蒂（布赖恩·加连保格 Bryan Greenberg 饰）想出了一个损招，他们决定潜入普林斯顿考试中心窃取试卷的答案。

　　A film adaptation of a play made by a high school drama club, directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro of Linda Linda Linda (2006). It’s essentially a coming-of-age film about teenagers made by teenagers. During summer vacation, at a high school, the PE teacher makes female students who skipped his class clean the outdoor swimming pool. The drained pool is full of sand blown in from a nearby baseball field, and the task of scooping up the sand and putting it in buckets seems meaningless. Chizuru, who used to be unbeatable in the swim club in middle school even against boys, practices imaginary swimming in the sand-filled pool, while Kokoro, who is serious about cultivating her feminine charm by diligently applying makeup, doesn’t care about cleaning. With their own stories, Miku, who diligently practices dance moves typically performed by men, and Yui, who was the swim club captain last year, and the other girls meet and converse on the pool floor under the summer sun, where unexpected conflicts arise and resolve in unexpected ways. Through a few hours in a day at a high school, the film interestingly shows the sensibilities and desires, dreams and hopes, anger and frustration of that time.
